YouTube content creators will air PlayStation 5 gameplay next week
As part of YouTube Gaming Week in Japan
Selected Japanese YouTube content creators will air PlayStation 5 gameplay on their channels on Sunday October 4.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan announced on the PlayStation Blog that it’s participating in YouTube Gaming Week, a YouTube-sponsored festival running from September 24 October 4.
On the final day of the festival, content creators will air PS5 gameplay beginning at 6pm local time (10am UK/2am PT/5am ET).
Sony didn’t confirm which PS5 games the YouTubers will be getting their hands on, or if it intends to offer western content creators similar access next week.
The platform holder recently announced a PlayStation 5 release date of November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia and South Korea.
The rest of the world will get the console a week later on November 19, including Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa.
PS5 will be priced at $500/€500/£450 for the standard edition and $400/€400/£360 for the Digital Edition, with the only difference between them being the former’s inclusion of a disc drive.
Sony has promised more PS5 stock will be made available to retailers imminently following a poorly handled pre-order launch operation last week.
