Yoshi studio is reportedly behind Princess Peach: Showtime

The developer behind Nintendo’s upcoming Princess Peach: Showtime! Has reportedly been unearthed.

According to credible dataminer ‘LuigiBlood’, the files for the game’s just-released demo show that it uses a naming convention associated with Japanese studio Good-Feel, the developer behind many first-party spin-off games.

Good-Feel, which recently celebrated its 18th anniversary, expanded with the opening of an Osaka office in 2020.

The studio has developed exclusively for Nintendo platforms since its formation (in terms of consoles, at least), with its past releases including Wario Land: Shake It, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, and Yoshi’s Woolly World.

According to LuigiBlood, the numerical project name for Princess Peach: Showtime! Suggests it could have been working on the game since at least 2019.

Princess Peach Showtime is set to be released on March 22.

In a recent hands-on preview, VGC wrote: “As its marketing suggests, Princess Peach: Showtime! really embraces the stage theme, with a ton of gameplay variety and charm packed into a tight production.

“In just an hour, we were able to play through four stages, with each typically comprising a unique mechanic, setpiece and ‘boss’ challenge.”
