Yakuza studio to show a ‘sneak peek trailer’ during a live stream next week

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio could offer an early look at something it’s working on during a stream next week.

As spotted by Gematsu, Sega’s Yakuza studio has announced plans for a September 8 broadcast dubbed ‘Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV #12.5: Sneak Peek Trailer Brought to You by the Director!’.

Featuring Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio director and executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama and product manager Masaya Santou, it will be viewable on YouTube from 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm BST.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that it’s working on a Yakuza: Like A Dragon sequel and a new IP.

The first images of the next Yakuza game seemingly appeared online last month, when MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura posted a video of himself taking a studio tour at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

Sony recently announced plans to make eight Yakuza games available with PlayStation Plus this year.

August’s PlayStation Plus games for Essential tier members, which are available to claim until September 6, are Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5 / PS4), Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5 / PS4) and Little Nightmares (PS4).

Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 were made available last month as part of August’s Game Catalog line-up for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.

Also coming later this year for PlayStation Plus Premium members are Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered and Yakuza 5 Remastered, while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be made available for Extra and Premium members.
