Xbox’s Winter Game Fest offers 36 free demos of upcoming indie games
The demos are available to download until December 21
Xbox has announced a new ID@Xbox demo event, offering players a chance to try out demos of upcoming indie games.
The ID@Xbox Winter Game Fest event arrives as part of The Game Awards and includes 36 playable demos of upcoming unreleased Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S games.
The event is live now, and will run until December 21, at which point all the demos will be removed from the digital Xbox store (though they should still be playable after this date if they’ve been downloaded).
As with previous Xbox demo events, the demos featured are not considered ‘normal’ game demos, and are to be considered more like ‘show floor demos’ you would see at an event like E3 or Gamescom.
As such, some of them are very early versions of games that don’t necessarily represent the final versions.
