Xbox’s InXile pokes fun at release date ‘leaked’ by a voice actor

The developers of Clockwork Revolution have seemingly poked fun at speculation surrounding the game’s release date.

Last week, a listing on IMDB suggested that the game could be released in 2025. This was according to a listing reportedly posted by a voice actor for several upcoming titles that seemed to feature release dates, alongside codenames for games.

While the legitimacy of this listing was never confirmed, inXile, the developer behind the upcoming game, has taken to X to make fun of the listing.

A meme featuring stills from the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy claims that whoever made the original post is “making up a release date for their IMDB.”

Announced last year by Xbox Game Studios, the “time-bending steampunk first-person RPG” is in development at InXile Entertainment.

The game is being led by game director Chad Moore and principal designer Jason Anderson, both of whom worked on the seminal steampunk RPG Arcanum.

Clockwork Revolution will be released for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam, and will be available with Game Pass. It’s “coming in due time,” according to its debut trailer.
