Xbox’s bold new Series X/S controller colours are Electric Volt and Daystrike Camo
The new hi-vis yellow and deep red camouflage designs are out next month
Microsoft will release two new colours in its range of Xbox Series X and Series S wireless controllers.
The two new colours are called Electric Volt and Daystrike Camo, according to a new post on the Xbox Wire blog.
The Electric Volt controller features a “high-energy, yellow resin not yet seen on Xbox hardware” and is “inspired by the energy and vibrance often found in athletic apparel and sneaker design”.
The Daystrike Camo Special Edition controller is the third in the Camo series of controllers, following on from the Night Ops Camo and Arctic Camo controllers previously released for Xbox One hardware.
The new controller has a similar design to the others, but features deep reds and greys to “bring a streetwear vibe to your game”.
The Daystrike Camo controller also has an extra feature – the left and right bumpers have a textured grip across the entire top surface, giving players a better grip on those buttons.
The Electric Volt controller is available on April 27 priced at $64.99, while the Daystrike Camo Special Edition controller is available on May 4 at a price of $69.99.
The Xbox Series X and Series S launched with Robot White, Carbon Black and Shock Blue controller options, while a Shock Red colour was released in February.
The Series X/S controllers also work with Xbox One or PC and Android devices via Bluetooth.
Microsoft recently used a customer experience survey to ask Xbox Series X/S owners if they would like to see any PlayStation controller features made available for its consoles.
