Xbox’s April console update is rolling out to all players
The Xbox app for PC has also been updated
The April 2024 Xbox console update is rolling out now to all users.
The update adds new functionality to Discord, letting players disable certain effects using a toggle.
It also adds a new notification that will let players know if their One Drive is running low on space due to a large number of game captures.
A new restriction allows users to block which devices can be used to install or uninstall games too. This essentially means that if enabled, only a primary account user can install or delete content.
Alongside this update, the Xbox App for PC will also receive some changes. Game Hubs will be rolled out across the Xbox App for PC to all players.
This UI change allows players to track progress like achievements, time played, and other in-game metrics. You’ll also be able to see your friend’s activity and stats from this page. New content for games like DLC releases will be highlighted here too.
This update also reintroduces a prominent game capture field on each Game Hub. Players can now see all of their captures from that specific game in the game’s hub, and find them locally on their computer from there.
Microsoft is reportedly planning to unveil new Gears of War and Call of Duty games at its traditional Xbox summer showcase in June.
