Xbox Series X/S is finally getting an enhanced Terminator: Resistance and its DLC
PS5 owners got the upgrade and new story content two years ago
Reef Entertainment has announced that Terminator: Resistance will be getting an enhanced version on Xbox Series X/S, two years after it came to PS5.
Terminator: Resistance was originally released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2019. An enhanced version was then released on PS5 in 2021, along with new story DLC called Annihilation Line and access to a separate mode called Infiltrator.
Xbox owners didn’t get this enhanced version at the time, but it’s finally planned for release later this year along with both the Annihilation Line and Infiltrator DLC content.
Annihilation Line is a “narrative expansion” starring popular Terminator character Kyle Reese, while Infiltrator Mode lets players take control of a T-800 Terminator.
On September 27, players who already own the digital version of Terminator: Resistance on Xbox One will be able to upgrade for free to the Xbox Series X/S version, which also includes the Infiltrator mode.
Then, on October 27, Reef Entertainment will release the Terminator: Resistance – Complete Edition both digitally and physically, which will include the main game, Infiltrator and the Annihilation Line DLC.
At that point, players who already own either the Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S digital versions of the game will be able to upgrade to the Complete Edition (and get the Annihilation Line DLC) at a discounted price of $14.49 / £11.99.
Teyon, the studio behind Terminator: Resistance, is currently working on RoboCop: Rogue City, a new game based on the original trilogy of RoboCop films.
Publisher Nacon also announced last year that it’s working on a survival game set in the world of The Terminator franchise.
