Xbox is reportedly launching a new, more expensive wireless headset this month
The updated headset will cost $110 / £100, it’s claimed
Microsoft is planning to launch a new, more expensive Xbox wireless headset this month.
According to dataminer billbil-kun, who has a long track record of leaking new games and hardware prior to their official announcement, the “Xbox Wireless Headset Refresh” will hit Europe on October 22 and the US on November 5.
Writing on Dealabs, they claimed the new headset will be priced at $109.99 / £99.99 / €109.99.
That would represent a $10 / £10 / €10 increase compared to the launch price of the existing Xbox wireless headset, which was released in 2021 and is now widely out of stock.
Technical specifications for the new headset weren’t available, but it will reportedly be black in colour.
Microsoft launched the Ghost Cipher Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller this week.
Priced at $69.99 / £64.99, it features a transparent grey design that lets players see its inner workings, rubberised back grips, and bronze metallic D-pad and triggers.
The platform holder is also gearing up to launch new Xbox Series X/S models on October 15.
They include a white all-digital 1TB Xbox Series X console, a white 1TB Xbox Series S, and a black 2TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive.
Xbox’s September update introduced the ability to pre-download game updates, so that when an update is set to go live it can simply be installed and played.
