Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC are adding EA Play titles at no extra cost
Over 60 EA games will join Microsoft’s subscription service this holiday
Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers will get an EA Play membership at no additional cost beginning this holiday season.
EA Play is Electronic Arts’ recently rebranded subscription service (formerly EA Access/Origin Access for PC), which grants members unlimited access to full versions of selected back catalogue games.
The service currently includes over 60 titles including FIFA 20, Titanfall 2, Need for Speed Heat, Anthem, plus entries in the Battlefield, Mass Effect, Skate, and The Sims series.
Subscribers also get early access trials of most new EA games, including the upcoming FIFA 21, and receive a 10 percent discount on EA digital purchases.
EA Access debuted as an Xbox One exclusive in 2014 before launching for PS4 in July 2019.
“Delivering EA Play to Xbox Game Pass members contributes to our vision of connecting players to the games they love and each other, wherever they want to play,” said Mike Blank, EA’s SVP of strategic growth. “After 5 years of delivering subscription services to the Xbox community, we are excited to make it easier for them to enjoy both memberships together.”
EA Play became the first gaming subscription service available on Steam when it launched in August.
