Xbox Game Pass is getting Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance at launch
For consoles, PC, and phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud
Tuque Games’ upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
The action RPG will cost $39.99/£33.49 when it’s released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC on June 22, but it will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra charge.
Members will be able to access the game through Xbox Game Pass for consoles, PC, and phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud.
Supporting four-player co-op across PC and console, Dark Alliance drops players “into the unforgiving frozen hellscape of Icewind Dale to take on iconic Dungeons & Dragons monsters and collect epic loot”, according to Tuque Games studio head and creative director Jeff Hattem.
Funcom also recently confirmed that fellow fantasy game Conan Exiles will be “coming soon” to Xbox Game Pass for PC and console.
Originally released in May 2018, Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the savage world of Conan the Barbarian.
News of its Xbox Game Pass release was confirmed alongside a launch date for Conan Exiles expansion Isle of Siptah. Following its PC early access debut last September, the expansion will release in full for PC, Xbox and PlayStation on May 27.
May’s new Xbox Game Pass titles include Dragon Quest Builders 2, Outlast 2, Steep, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Psychonauts, Red Dead Online, Remnant: From the Ashes, FIFA 21 and Knockout City.
Microsoft’s service offers access to a library of over 100 games, including all Xbox Game Studios titles at launch, and a recent survey of 14,000 consumers found that 55 percent of subscribers joined primarily to get new titles at release.
“That’s why we made the investments that we have,” Xbox head of gaming services marketing Ben Decker told GamesRadar. “We have 23 studios across Xbox and Bethesda, working on Halo, Forza, Fallout, and new IP that we haven’t even talked about yet that’s gonna blow your mind. We can deliver all of that into Game Pass on day one.”
Xbox Game Pass has attracted over 18 million subscribers, according to Microsoft.
