WWE Superstar Zelina Vega joins Street Fighter 6 as in-game commentator
Vega performed at the WWE Royal Rumble in Juri-themed gear to celebrate the reveal
WWE Superstar Zelina Vega will feature in Street Fighter 6 as an in-game commentator.
Zelina (real name Thea Trinidad) will be selectable from a growing roster of guest commentators, including esports commentary veterans, competitive Street Fighter players, and celebrity Street Fighter fans.
As part of the announcement, Zelina, who competed at last night’s Royal Rumble event, performed in a costume paying homage to Juri, one of Street Fighter 6’s characters.
“I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighter,” Trinidad commented. “I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favourite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honoured and thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Steam.
The Deluxe Edition will include the Year 1 Character Pass, which includes four additional characters, four additional characters’ colours and 4200 Drive Tickets.
The Ultimate Edition will include a Year 1 Ultimate Pass, which adds a further eight characters’ colours and an extra 3500 Drive Tickets.
Late last year Capcom confirmed the full lineup of Street Fighter 6 characters, which includes all eight original ‘World Warriors’ from Street Fighter II.
