‘Widespread’ Call of Duty Vanguard crashing issues are being investigated
New ‘Secrets of the Pacific’ event disabled while problems are looked into
Sledgehammer Games has said it’s investigating “widespread crashing issues” affecting Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The problems appear to have started shortly after Wednesday’s launch of Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone’s new ‘Secrets of the Pacific’ event, which has temporarily been disabled.
The event challenges players to scout Verdansk to find objects from another era in order to unlock intel on Warzone’s upcoming Pacific map, Caldera, and its new points of interest.
Completing Warzone and Vanguard challenges will also unlock exclusive event rewards including a weapon blueprint.
Sledgehammer also said that players who completed challenges prior to Secrets of the Pacific being disabled will keep their progress once the event’s back online.
The launch of new Warzone map Caldera was recently delayed by one week to December 8.
Ahead of Caldera’s release, a Call of Duty Vanguard player discovered what appears to be a low-poly version of Caldera thanks to a spectator camera bug.
While playing on Vanguard’s recently launched Shipment map, they used the spectator cam to leave the confines of the map and float through what looks to be Warzone’s newest location.
Despite only launching on November 5, Call of Duty Vanguard is on sale for $39 at Walmart as part of the retailer’s Black Friday deals.
