The first footage of the white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has seemingly been posted
Images of the controller were first leaked in March
A video showing what appears to be a white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has been posted online.
A photo showing boxed white Elite Series 2 controllers was shared back in March, but nothing has been heard about them since.
However, a video showing the controller by a YouTuber called Nicholas Lugo was posted in July and lay undiscovered until it was spotted on Monday by Twitter user Rebs Gaming.
The video, which can be seen in the tweet embedded below, appears to show what is referred to as the “only white Xbox Elite in the United States” by the person recording the video.
The controller appears to be authentic (though the tape on the packaging is removed too easily, implying it had already been opened), but there is no information regarding how Lugo acquired it.
Microsoft has still to officially announce the existence of the white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.
The Elite Series 2, which is generally only available in black (except for a limited edition Halo version), was released in November 2019.
According to the platform holder, it’s “the world’s most advanced controller to date” and took four years to develop.
It includes interchangeable thumbstick and paddle shapes, and a button which enables players to quickly switch between up to three custom profiles and a default one.
It also features exclusive configuration options through the Xbox Accessories app, such as dead zone adjustment and button mapping to voice commands.
The controller offers up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life and is the first Xbox controller to feature an internal battery too.
