What time do N64 games go live on Switch today?
Switch Online’s Expansion Pack is set to deploy later today in America and tomorrow elsewhere
N64 and Genesis / Mega Drive games are set to debut on Nintendo Switch today, via Switch Online’s new Expansion Pack tier.
While Nintendo hasn’t officially revealed what time the N64 and Genesis / Mega Drive games will go live on Switch, there’s strong evidence pointing towards when fans should expect them to arrive.
UPDATE 26/10: The N64 games are now live, along with the Switch Expansion Pack, though they’ve been met with some initial criticism.
UPDATE 27/10: More than 20 additional unannounced Nintendo 64 games are planned for Switch Online’s newly-launched Expansion Pack tier, a datamine of the service has suggested.
What time do N64 games go live on Switch today?
It’s likely that N64 games will go live on Switch at around 7.00pm PT / 3.00am BST.
Nintendo of America has said Switch Online’s Expansion Pack will go live on Monday, October 25, while both the company’s Europe and Japan divisions have provided an October 26 live date, which suggests a US evening arrival for the games.
A clearer indication of when Expansion Pack will go live is likely provided by Nintendo’s maintenance schedule. According to the company, the Switch Online service will be offline between 4pm and 7pm PT (12 – 3am BST).
The Nintendo eShop is scheduled to be offline between 5pm and 6.30pm PT (1am – 2.30am BST).
How much does Switch Online Expansion Pack cost?
Last week Nintendo confirmed that pricing for its new Expansion Pack Switch Online membership tier will be double that of the standard subscription.

The Expansion Pack tier – which is required to play N64 and Sega games – will cost $49.99 / €39.99 / £ 34.99 for a 12 month individual membership, while a Family Membership will cost $79.99 / €69.99 / £ 59.99 for 12 months.
This represents more than a doubling in price from the standard tier, which costs $20 individually or $35 for a family membership.
In addition to a new selection of Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis / Mega Drive games, the Expansion Pack tier will also include the just-announced paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons at no additional cost.
