Watch Dogs Legion’s latest update includes fixes for various crashes on consoles and PC
But the patch doesn’t resolve save and audio problems on Xbox Series X/S
Ubisoft has released a new Watch Dogs Legion update which includes fixes for various crashes on the PC and console versions of the game.
Watch Dogs Legion title update 2.30 is the latest in a series of patches designed to address technical issues that have marred the open-world title’s launch for many players.
Last week Ubisoft delayed the release of Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer component in order to focus on fixing issues with the single player game.
“Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game,” the publisher said. “The dev team is committed to fixing these issues and will not stop until everyone can experience the game as intended.”
The game’s latest update (see full patch notes below) also includes fixes for an issue which resulted in users spawning without any player characters after dying in Permadeath mode, and a fix for an issue where a black screen could occur when opening the door to hidden rooms.
“We wanted to highlight that the Xbox Series X/S save issues are not addressed with TU2.30 but the dev team has identified the underlying cause and is working on an additional fix for this specific issue,” Ubisoft said.
The update also fails to address an audio issue resulting in crackling and popping sounds on Xbox Series X/S, although Ubisoft said it has been able to reproduce the problem “and will be working towards developing a fix for it”.
