Ubisoft will give Forward viewers Watch Dogs 2 for free
Log in to Uplay during Sunday’s event
Ubisoft will give away free copies of Watch Dogs 2 on PC to viewers of its Forward event this weekend, it’s said.
Anyone who watches the “E3-style” event via Ubisoft’s dedicated stream and logs into Uplay during the main show will be able to claim a free copy of the 2016 game.
The French publisher’s first fully digital conference will be streamed live on Sunday, July 12 at 12pm PT/3pm ET/8pm BST/9pm CEST, and promises to include exclusive game news and product reveals.
The Watch Dogs franchise’s latest instalment, Watch Dogs Legion, will be one of the main titles on show at Forward, with Ubisoft set to debut the first gameplay running on next-gen consoles.
The publisher will also reveal more of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Hyper Scape, the free-to-play, 100-player battle royale FPS soft-launched earlier this month.
A new report claims the company is also preparing to announce Far Cry 6, and that the open-world sequel will star Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito.
While a new Far Cry game has yet to be officially revealed, Ubisoft has confirmed plans to launch one unannounced AAA title in its current fiscal year ending in March 2021.
