Warzone’s train has crashed ahead of Call of Duty Vanguard’s in-game reveal event
A new entry in the blockbuster FPS series will be unveiled on Thursday
Call of Duty Warzone’s train has crashed ahead of a major in-game event taking place on Thursday.
Activision is due to reveal Call of Duty: Vanguard on August 19 at 10.30am PT / 1.30 pm ET / 6.30 pm BST via an in-game Warzone event titled the Battle of Verdansk.
The battle’s opening salvo looks to have been fired, with Warzone’s train seemingly brought to an abrupt halt by a barricade located in one of Verdansk’s tunnels.
The train, which has been circling the map since the launch of Season 5 a year ago, is currently out of action and some of its cargo in flames, as shown in the video below and the image above (via XSET Barton).
Players who participate in Thursday’s Warzone event will be rewarded with in-game gear including new weapon and knife blueprints, a bike skin and a timepiece.
Warzone players will also earn double XP, double weapon XP, and double battle pass XP in the hour leading up to the Battle of Verdansk.
