Warzone’s Krampus has been nerfed following player complaints

Raven Software has announced that it will update Call of Duty: Warzone‘s controversial Krampus in-game event following player feedback.

In a tweet from Raven Software, the developer announced that the festive monster would be receiving a significant nerf and would spawn less frequently in light of player complaints.

“Looks like Krampus made it to the very top of the Festive Fervor naughty list. So…

  • Krampus’ health has been reduced significantly across all modes / respective squad sizes
  • Krampus no longer spawns after the 4th Circle”

Warzone’s Festive Fervor event is currently ongoing, during which players can hunt for killer elves, earn holiday themes rewards and purchase new bundles.

Activision has recently rolled out Call of Duty Warzone’s anti-cheat kernel-level driver globally.

Following its launch in the Asia-Pacific region, the driver is now available worldwide, the company said last week.

The driver will automatically install alongside a Warzone Pacific update on Battle.net and is required to play the game on PC.

The driver, which will be released for Call of Duty: Vanguard at a later date, “operates with high privileges on your computer, able to access all resources on your system while it is running”.

According to an Activision FAQ, this allows the game to detect any anti-cheat software that may be running in the background.
