Warzone’s invisibility glitch has seemingly returned in Warzone 2
The issue has been a notable problem for Call of Duty’s battle royale
A number of Call of Duty Warzone 2 players have reported being killed by invisible players.
Following the launch of the battle royale sequel on November 16, several players have posted videos of what appears to be an invisibility glitch in action.
Some of these clips, which are viewable below, indicate one of the original Warzone’s most notable recurring glitches has returned in the sequel, although this has yet to be officially acknowledged on the game’s Trello board, where players can track known issues being worked on.
While it may be unrelated, Warzone developer Raven Software said on Sunday that it has disabled the ‘Most Wanted’ contract in battle royale while it investigates “an issue”.
The invisibility glitch first reared its head in Warzone in December 2020 following the introduction of attack helicopters to the game.
In the past, Raven has had to temporarily disable the game’s vehicles on a number of occasions in order to combat bugs, including invisibility glitches.
Microsoft has reportedly offered Sony a deal that would see the Call of Duty franchise remain on PlayStation for a decade should its proposed $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard gain approval.
The future of the Call of Duty series as a multiplatform product is one of the key areas being examined by competition regulators scrutinising the deal.
