Warzone Season 4 will improve visibility on Caldera by reducing vegetation
New “micro-POIs”, more looting and secret underground vaults are also coming
Raven Software has revealed a number of significant changes coming to Call of Duty Warzone’s Caldera map as part of the game’s Season 4 update.
Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 4, which is titled Mercenaries of Fortune, arrives on June 22.
Major changes planned for Warzone’s Caldera map include reducing the vegetation on the island by 50%, resulting in improved visibility, and the introduction of new “micro-POIs”.
It was previously confirmed that Season 4 will also introduce a new Warzone map called Fortune’s Keep, which was recently shown off in a reveal trailer.
The video provides a brief look at several key locations including Keep, a towering structure which houses 20 cannons, 10 staircases, 12 rooms and a fountain, and Smuggler’s Cove, another area with a focus on verticality, which includes eight ladders, three ziplines, eight huts and 11 boats.

Vanguard Season 4 will also introduce a new Zombies map in the form of an updated version of Shi No Numa.
Activision announced last week that Warzone 2.0 will launch later this year, soon after Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s release on October 28.
Featuring “a new sandbox mode” and a “brand-new playspace”, Warzone 2.0 will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
Try Hard Guides recently published an image that’s claimed to reveal Warzone 2’s main map, including all of its points of interest and several notable features, such as a significant body of water in which players can swim.
Neither of the original Warzone’s maps, Verdansk and Caldera, have supported swimming, although it was possible in Call of Duty’s first battle royale, Black Ops 4’s Blackout.
The original Warzone will continue as a separate experience when Warzone 2.0 launches.
