Warzone is adding a new location called Rebirth Island, datamine suggests
New multiplayer maps also potentially uncovered ahead of Black Ops Cold War Season 1
Call of Duty: Warzone is set to introduce a new playable location called Rebirth Island, according to dataminers.
Black Ops Cold War Season 1 launches on December 10, which is when Activision plans to start integrating Treyarch’s game into Warzone.
The publisher released a Black Ops Cold War Season 1 roadmap last month teasing a “classified Warzone experience,” among other features.
An accompanying image appears to show an island off the Aral Sea, which is believed to be Vozrozhdeniya Island (Rebirth Island).
The real-life location, which was once home to a Soviet biological weapons test site, was featured in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops in the mission Rebirth.
Ahead of any official announcement from publisher Activision, dataminers have uncovered an aerial image of Rebirth Island emblazoned with the Call of Duty Warzone logo.

It’s speculated that Rebirth Island could be a reworked version of Alcatraz, the battle royale map featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.
A new multiplayer map pictured in the official Black Ops Cold War roadmap shows a food court in a shopping centre. This map will be called Mall, according to Black Ops dataminers. And an updated version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s Raid map could also be coming in Black Ops Cold War Season 1.

Treyarch recently released a Black Ops Cold War update which increased weapon XP earn rates, enabling players to level up guns and unlock attachments faster than was previously the case.
The patch also fixed an issue in Zombies that resulted in lower-than-targeted Weapon XP earn rates, and closed an out-of-bounds gap that enabled players to stay alive outside of Nuketown 84’s intended play space.
Following a recent double XP event, Treyarch said it’s planning more in December.
