Warzone and Vanguard holiday event confirmed along with free multiplayer trial
‘Festive Fervor’ event kicks off on December 17
Activision has announced a Christmas-themed Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone event titled ‘Festive Fervor’.
Kicking off on December 17, it will include “limited-time modes, events, rewards, and features up to the New Year along with plenty of discounts on classic bundles and new holiday-themed offerings”.
As previously leaked, Krampus is coming to Vanguard and Warzone, as are killer elves.
The main event will task players with completing Festive Fervor challenges for rewards. There will be 13 items up for grabs, including an epic LMG blueprint for completing all six Vanguard or Warzone Pacific challenges.
Activision is also planning a Call of Duty Vanguard multiplayer free access promotion from December 16-21.
Call of Duty: Vanguard was November’s top-selling game in the US and instantly became the second best-selling game of the year so far, behind only 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, research firm the NPD Group reported on Monday.

Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 1 launched on December 8 following a one-week delay.
Warzone’s Pacific update marked the biggest shake-up for the battle royale game since its March 2020 release, replacing its launch map Verdansk with a new one called Caldera.
