Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty Warzone
The map will return in spring
Verdansk is officially coming back to Call of Duty Warzone.
Warzone’s original map, which is no longer accessible, will return to the game in spring. As announced during Call of Duty Next, Verdansk will join the newly announced Area 99, a smaller map which will also be joining the mode.
Warzone launched on March 10, 2020, which could suggest that the iconic map may be set to return on the 5th anniversary of the battle royale game mode’s release.
“This spring, we’ll be celebrating an incredible five years of Warzone,” senior director of studio communications Stephanie Snowden said.
“On behalf of all of us who work to bring the Warzone experience to life each day, thank you for playing. It feels only right that to celebrate this milestone, we gotta go back to our roots.”
Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. As a first-party Microsoft title, Black Ops 6 will also be available on select Game Pass plans on day one.
Black Ops 6 will feature two brand-new Zombies maps at launch, plus 16 multiplayer maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
An in-development build of Black Ops 6 recently leaked online, revealing numerous details about the title and gameplay footage ahead of Activision‘s schedule.
