Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 includes new battle royale and Zombies maps
Mercenaries of Fortune content update launches on June 22
Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 will introduce new battle royale and Zombies maps, Activision has confirmed.
Vanguard and Warzone Season 4, which is titled Mercenaries of Fortune, arrives on June 22.
Headlining the Warzone update is a new map called Fortune’s Keep, which is shown off in the reveal trailer below.
Given its another island-based map, the Call of Duty community is speculating that Fortune’s Keep could replace Rebirth Island.
The trailer provides a brief look at several key locations including Keep, a towering structure which houses 20 cannons, 10 staircases, 12 rooms and a fountain, and Smuggler’s Cove, another area with a focus on verticality, which includes eight ladders, three ziplines, eight huts and 11 boats.
Other points of interest include Graveyard, Terraces, Bay, Winery, Camp, Lighthouse, Grotto, Overlook and Town.
Vanguard Season 4 will also introduce a new Zombies map in the form of an updated version of Shi No Numa.
Taking place in a swamp in a Japanese jungle, Shi No Numa originally featured in Call of Duty: World at War before making appearances in a couple of Treyarch’s Black Ops games.
Activision recently confirmed that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date is October 28, 2022.
As part of a wider Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 reveal last week, it said both games will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam later this year.
When Warzone 2.0 launches soon after Modern Warfare 2, the original Warzone will continue as a separate experience.
