Valheim publisher Coffee Stain has revealed additional details on its plans to release the title on new platforms.

On Sunday, Microsoft released a list of 50 games that it said will be coming to Xbox and PC over the next 12 months, 43 of which will be available via Game Pass, including Valheim.

On Tuesday, Coffee Stain confirmed Valheim is coming to the Microsoft Store and will be available with PC Game Pass this fall/autumn, ahead of its Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Game Pass release in spring 2023.

Valheim is billed as “a brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally generated purgatory inspired by Viking culture.”

The title, which has sold over 10 million copies since its Steam Early Access release in February 2021, will offer cross-play support on all platforms.

The upcoming releases are being developed by Piktiv and Fishlabs, allowing original creator Iron Gate to “continue the smooth development of the core Valheim experience and its next major update milestones”.

Microsoft announced on Sunday that Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

June’s Xbox Game Pass titles include For Honor: Marching Fire Edition, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Chorus, Disc Room and Spacelines from the Far Out.
