UEFA Euro 24 is coming to EA Sports FC 24 as a free update
The DLC will be added to the game in time for the tournament in summer 2024
The upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament will be added to EA Sports FC 24.
According to EA, the tournament will be added to the game as part of a free update in summer 2024.
The update will be added to all versions of the game – PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
Players who have played EA Sports FC 24 by January 16, 2024 will be given one of six UEFA Euro 2024 Ultimate Team player items, which will start to be distributed on December 18.
The player item granted to players will be one of the following:
- Jack Grealish (England)
- Ousmane Dembélé (France)
- Federico Chiesa (Italy)
- Florian Wirtz (Germany)
- Virgil Van Djik (Netherlands)
- Alvaro Morata (Spain)
“We are delighted to further expand our partnership with EA Sports, with UEFA Euro 2024 becoming a part of the EA Sports FC game,” UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein said in a statement.
“UEFA Euro 2024 is one of the world’s most vibrant and exciting football tournaments, and we’re thrilled that the huge EA Sports FC 24 community across the globe will get the chance to engage with the tournament in such an authentic gaming environment.”
The continued partnership with UEFA will be particularly important to EA now that its partnership with FIFA has ended.
As it seems extremely unlikely that future FIFA tournaments such as the World Cup and Women’s World Cup will be featured in future EA Sports FC games, UEFA tournaments like Euro 2024 and the annual club competitions (such as the Champions League) are important for maintaining the series’ emphasis on authenticity.
