Ubisoft’s Valiant Hearts sequel is out on consoles and PC today
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is available standalone or in a bundle with the original
The sequel to Valiant Hearts is released on consoles and PC today.
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home was originally released in January 2023 as a mobile game, where it was made available exclusively for Netflix subscribers.
However, the game is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
It’s joined by a bundle called Valiant Hearts: The Collection, which consists of both games at a discounted price.
The sequel was originally released as part of a three-game exclusivity deal between Netflix and Ubisoft, and came nearly ten years after the previous title, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, which received overwhelmingly positive reviews throughout the years on Steam.
The Great War was generally praised for its themes, visuals, and music, and for enabling players to learn more about World War 1 history.
Coming Home takes place after the events of The Great War, featuring a narrative following “four interweaving stories of friendship, survival, and sacrifice amidst the turmoil and tragedy of war”.
As with the first game, Coming Home has numerous protagonists, each with their own separate story, and each narrative interweaves with the others.
“James is a member of the historic Harlem Hellfighters looking for his older brother Freddie,” reads Ubisoft’s synopsis.
“The nurse Anna returns to her work tending the wounded, Ernst is a German diver, and George is a British aviator. And, of course, the good dog Walt returns to help players with puzzles and exploration.”
