Ubisoft’s Immortals suffers big store leak: New screenshots, December release revealed
The game formerly known as Gods & Monsters is set to appear in a live stream next week
Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising – the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters – will release on December 3, according to a Microsoft Store listing.
The store page – since removed – briefly displayed new info and imagery of the Ubisoft Quebec adventure, which was officially unveiled at E3 2019 but hasn’t been seen since.
Ubisoft is set to ‘re-reveal’ the title during an Ubisoft Forward live stream next week.
“Immortals Fenyx Rising brings grand mythological adventure to life,” the description read. “Play as Fenyx, a new, winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods. The fate of the world is at stake – you are the gods’ last hope.”
Immortals features an open-world across seven unique regions inspired by the gods, the description continues, and gameplay has players wielding “the powers of the gods” like Achilles’ sword and Daidalos’ wings to battle enemies and solve puzzles.
Players will also wield self-guiding arrows, telekinesis and more in battles against mythological beasts such as Cyclops and Medusa in air and ground combat.
Following the brief accidental appearance of a game build on Stadia this summer, Ubisoft confirmed it would show its next look at Gods and Monsters this summer, and that it had changed the game’s name.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising will release for current and next-gen consoles, Switch and PC.
