Ubisoft shows 10 minutes of Star Wars Outlaws gameplay footage
A separate 4-minute game overview trailer has also been published
Ubisoft has shown 10 minutes of Star Wars Outlaws gameplay footage.
The gameplay demo, shown during its latest Ubisoft Forward presentation, was narrated by game director Mathias Karlson.
It shows protagonist Kay Vess as she boards her ship and engages in a space battle before flying to Tatooine and visiting the Mos Eisley cantina.
With development led by Ubisoft Massive, Star Wars Outlaws tells an original story set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
“Risk it all as Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix,” reads an official description. “Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted.”
Ubisoft also posted a separate game overview trailer to its YouTube channel. Both videos can be seen below.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Players who purchase the game’s Gold or Ultimate editions will receive three days of early access in addition to digital goods, including the game’s Season Pass.
The Season Pass will also include “a Day 1 exclusive mission with Jabba” called Jabba’s Gambit.
Its inclusion led to some criticism from players, who historically complain when games charge extra for story content that’s ready to play by the game’s release day.
