Ubisoft releases a teaser video for its ‘E3-style’ digital games showcase

Ubisoft Forward is set to take place on July 12

Ubisoft has released a teaser video for Ubisoft Forward, its upcoming “E3-style” digital games showcase.

The French publisher’s first fully digital conference promises to include exclusive game news and product reveals.

It will be streamed live on Ubisoft’s website on Sunday July 12 at 12pm PT/3pm ET/8pm BST/9pm CEST.

Ubisoft revealed Hyper Scape, a free-to-play, 100-player battle royale FPS set in a futuristic urban environment, earlier this week.

A new report claims the company is also preparing to announce Far Cry 6, and that the open-world sequel will star Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito.

While a new Far Cry game has yet to be officially revealed, Ubisoft has confirmed plans to launch one unannounced AAA title in its current fiscal year ending in March 2021.

Watch Dogs Legion is set in a near future London

Other games set for release during Ubisoft’s current fiscal year include this holiday’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, plus the previously delayed Watch Dogs Legion, Gods and Monsters and Rainbow Six Quarantine.

Three games, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will be released during Ubisoft’s third quarter ending in December 2020, and two in the fourth quarter.

All of Ubisoft’s games announced for release in its current fiscal year will be available on current and next-gen consoles.

VGC revealed in January that Ubisoft had restructured its editorial team, which oversees the creative direction of its games and IPs, following the disappointing performance of 2019 releases The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
