Ubisoft is planning an Assassin’s Creed Origins 60FPS update
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey recently received a 60FPS next-gen update
Ubisoft wants to introduce 60FPS support for 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins.
The company revealed the plan in a message to fans on ‘#ACDay’, an annual December 21 event that celebrates the franchise and its community.
“Whether you are a longtime fan or just discovered Assassin’s Creed, we want to thank you for being a part of this community,” it wrote.
“Your continued support, passion & vigilance humbles us all every day.
“Stay tuned for more in AC Valhalla & an exciting future for AC.”
Ubisoft added in a follow-up tweet. “We are also looking into adding 60FPS support for Assassin’s Creed Origins, so stay tuned!”
In August, Ubisoft added 60FPS support for 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey when played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility.
The publisher revealed its plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second year of content—a first for the series—last week.
They included the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover story DLC on December 14.
And Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, was announced for release in March 2022.
Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, the team responsible for Assassin’s Creed Rogue and the Curse of the Pharaohs expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, Dawn of Ragnarök will offer some 35 hours of gameplay.
