Ubisoft has provided an extended look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay
The game promises to take the series back to its roots
Ubisoft has released an 8-minute video showing footage from Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The video gives an extended look at how the game plays, with some sections sped up for the sake of time.
The gameplay can be viewed here:
Ubisoft also released a new story trailer for the game on Monday, which is viewable below.
Last week it was revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will have an optional blue-grey filter that makes the game look more like the original Assassin’s Creed.
Creative director Stéphane Boudon recently called Mirage “a love letter to the origins of the franchise, a coming of age story with rhythm mechanics to bring the feel of the early games into the modern day”.
As such, the game is expected to play more like the stealth-focused early Assassin’s Creed games than the more recent wide-scale, vastly open-world titles like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Announced last year, Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th century Baghdad and is described as a “special tribute to the first Assassin’s Creed”.
Last month Ubisoft showed its first Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay video and confirmed that the game would be released on October 12.
Ubisoft also announced a new 2.5D Prince of Persia game this week, but it appears to have been met with a mostly negative response at this stage.
