Ubisoft has announced its E3 2021 digital games showcase event

Ubisoft has announced plans to hold an E3 2021 digital showcase event.

The Assassin’s Creed maker will host its next Ubisoft Forward event on June 12 as “part of” this year’s E3.

The event will kick off at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm UK.

Last week the Entertainment Software Association confirmed new details on the all-digital E3 2021, including a partial partner list.

Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media will also participate in the event, which will run from June 12-15, with media days running during the four days prior, as previously revealed by VGC.

The ESA’s intention for the 2021 show is to hold multiple keynote sessions from games partners, broadcast from an LED-clad live stage built in Los Angeles, as well as an awards show, preview night and the ability for companies to schedule meetings with media and business users via the app.

With E3 2020 cancelled due to the coronavirus, Ubisoft held its first fully digital conference, Ubisoft Forward, in July 2020. It “generated historic viewership”, according to the company’s chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet.

“Ubisoft Forward was a major milestone and the response from our fans was very promising,” he said during Ubisoft’s first quarter earnings call later that same month. “We achieved record-high peak concurrent viewership during this event, surpassing our previous E3 conferences.”

A second Ubisoft Forward event was held in September 2020.
