Ubisoft Forward September 2022: Every major announcement

Ubisoft has just finished streaming its 2022 Ubisoft Forward presentation.

A large portion of the presentation was dedicated to the Assassin’s Creed series, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary.

Several new games in the series were announced, as well as the formal unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a new smaller adventure launching next year.

Ubisoft recently spoke to VGC about the future of the series, including the upcoming Codename Red and Codename Hexe Assassin’s Creed games.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope received a new gameplay trailer. The game, which is the sequel to the 2017 Xcom-like strategy game starring Nintendo‘s mascot, releases on October 20.

The new gameplay trailer saw Mario and crew take on a giant Wiggler as it attempted to take out Mario’s train.

Ubisoft also revealed that the game will receive three pieces of DLC, including a new playable character, Rayman.  No release date for the expansions was given.

New trailers for Skull and Bones, Ubisoft’s long-in-development pirate game showed off the war for the Indian Ocean between the pirates and the corporations that prowl the sea.

The trailers also revealed some of the weaponry players can expect to captain when the game launches on November 8 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, Stadia and PC via the Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Store.

A number of new Assassin’s Creed games were revealed

Just Dance 2023 edition, which is the latest update to the long-running music game, will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on November 22. The game will later arrive on Stadia, but no date was provided.

Rainbow Six Mobile, the free-to-play tactical shooter is entering closed beta in select territories beginning September 12. Players in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the Philippines, Singapore and India can sign up for a chance to take part. 

Ubisoft also shared new details on the future of The Division franchise. The Division Year 5 is currently in development, and the developer said that it is “committed” to the future of the franchise.

The Division Heartland also received a new trailer, showing off the game’s location. The free-to-play survival shooter is set in Silver Creek, a small town in middle America.

The Crew 2 will introduce new ice tracks as part of its sixth season, with begins on September 12 on all platforms.

In a collaboration with Konami, Ubisoft also announced that Simon Belmont and Alucard from the Castlevania series would be joining Brawlhalla as playable characters on October 19.
