Ubisoft announces two-day UK fan event
Taking place next month alongside Insomnia65 at the NEC in Birmingham
Ubisoft has announced plans to host a two-day UK fan event during the weekend of August 24-25.
Taking place alongside the Insomnia65 Gaming Festival at the NEC in Birmingham, The Ubisoft Experience is billed as a community-focused event featuring developer panels, meet-and-greet sessions, contests, esports and roller disco.
Attendees will be able to play upcoming games including the first UK public hands-on for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, plus new Roller Champions content.
Ubisoft Toronto will offer the first UK live demo of Watch Dogs Legion on the main stage, while Ubisoft Montreal will give a presentation on the Assassin’s Creed universe.
To attend Ubisoft’s event, you’ll first need to purchase a ticket for Insomnia65. Tickets for The Ubisoft Experience are then priced at £10, with all revenue generated set to be donated to the charity SpecialEffect.
Ubisoft says the UK event will be the first of “three pilot celebrations” planned for 2019, ahead of Ubisoft Experience events in Sydney and Paris later this year.
Ubisoft UK MD Rob Cooper said: “We can’t wait to celebrate The Ubisoft Experience with our fantastic UK community, with a packed schedule of activities over the Bank Holiday weekend. We are also very proud to be supporting SpecialEffect through this event; an inspirational organisation close to all within the gaming industry.”
