Two Square Enix RPGs are among the latest wave of games added to Apple Arcade
Final Fantasy and Trials of Mana are now on Apple Arcade, with a new PGA Tour game to follow
Apple has kicked off 2025 with a number of new Apple Arcade releases.
Seven games have been added to the subscription service, with a further three to follow in early February.
The new releases include four ‘+’ versions of existing games – Final Fantasy+, Trials of Mana+, Rodeo Stampede+ and It’s Literally Just Mowing+.
‘+’ versions of games on Apple Arcade are titles that are already available on the standard iOS App Store, but remove any monetisation present in those versions, be that an up-front price, in-game purchases or ads.
For example, Final Fantasy (Pixel Remaster) and Trials of Mana are both currently on the App Store priced at $9.99 each, but the ‘+’ versions are included as part of an Apple Arcade subscription with no extra costs.
As well as the ‘+’ games, three Apple Arcade exclusives have also been released – Skate City: New York, Three Kingdoms Heroes and Gears & Goo (for Apple Vision Pro).
The new releases will be followed on February 6 with three more – an all new licensed PGA game called PGA Tour Pro Golf, as well as Doodle Jump 2+ and My Dear Farm+.
Last month saw eight games released on Apple Arcade, including ‘+’ versions of Final Fantasy IV (the 3D remake) and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
These were joined by Talking Tom Blast Park, Boggle: Arcade Edition, Pac-Man 256+, Hot Wheels: Race Off+, Barbie Colour Creations+ and Little Cities: Diorama (Apple Vision Pro).
Other recent Apple Arcade releases have included NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition, NFL Retro Bowl 25 and Balatro+.
