Trailer: HBO’s The Last of Us episode 7 will cover the game’s Left Behind DLC
It will focus on Ellie’s backstory and her relationship with Riley, who’s played by Storm Reid
HBO has released a preview trailer for the seventh episode of The Last of Us.
Viewable below, it reveals that the episode will focus on Ellie’s backstory and her relationship with Riley Abel, which was the subject of the game’s Left Behind prequel DLC.
Riley, who is played by Euphoria actress Storm Reid, is an orphaned girl growing up in post-apocalyptic Boston and Ellie’s best friend at boarding school.
Following episode 6, which saw Joel reuniting with his brother Tommy, episode 7 will premiere on Sunday February 26 at 9pm ET / Monday February 27 at 2am GMT.
The Last of Us is produced and written by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, who also co-wrote and directed the game series.
Over the course of nine episodes, its debut season will cover the events of The Last of Us, which was released for PS3 in 2013, and its Left Behind DLC, which arrived the following year.
HBO recently renewed The Last of Us for a second season.
Earlier this month, Sony delayed the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1 from March 3 to March 28.
It means the PC version of the remake will arrive a few weeks after the conclusion of the HBO show, which is due to air its final episode on March 12.
