Tower of Fantasy shows off social gameplay ahead of release next week

Level Infinite today released two new videos for Tower of Fantasy, the MMORPG which launches on PC and mobile next week.

A “Creative Gameplay” video shows off character personalization and a wide range of options players will have to make their character unique. It also shows off some of the modes of transport available that players can use to get across the world.

Tower of Fantasy will open for pre-loading on August 9 and launch globally on PC and mobile on August 11.

In addition, a new “Social Gameplay” video has detailed how players can form teams to take on bosses together and explore the open world as part of a group.

Tower of Fantasy has been popular in China for some time. This release will mark the first time it’s been playable in the west.

Featuring an anime-inspired art style and a sci-fi story, Tower of Fantasy takes place hundreds of years in the future after humanity has fled the collapsing environment of earth and taken up home on the distant planet of Aida.

“Players will be able to experience an anime-inspired post-apocalyptic sci-fi art style, freeform character development, immersive objectives, and exciting combat through thrilling battles and exciting open world exploration,” according to the game’s description.

According to Level Infinite, over one million players participated across two Tower of Fantasy closed beta tests and three million players have pre-registered for the game.
