Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered trilogy has been announced for Nintendo Switch

The first three Tomb Raider games are being remastered and released for Nintendo Switch.

Announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday, the remaster trilogy will be released for Switch on February 14, 2024.

“This faithfully remastered trilogy comes with all of the expansions and secret levels for each game,” according to Nintendo.

“You can also toggle between the original polygon look and the upgraded visuals at any time.”

Latest update

It has now been confirmed that Tomb Raider I-III Remastered will also be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

It added: “Uncover treasures of the ancient world by solving puzzles and unraveling mysteries lost to the ravages of time. Follow the iconic Lara Croft around the world and face off against deadly foes and dangerous myths.”

The title is available to pre-order today. It will cost $26.99 until its release, at which point it will be priced at $29.99.

Last December, Amazon Games announced that it will publish the next mainline Tomb Raider game.

It’s being developed by Embracer-owned studio Crystal Dynamics with Unreal Engine 5 and will be built alongside Amazon “from development all the way through publishing”.

Crystal Dynamics has also said that Lara Croft’s next adventure will “unify” the timelines in Core Design’s original Tomb Raider games and its own reboot trilogy.

Amazon reportedly aspires to turn Tomb Raider into a “Marvel-like franchise” spanning interconnected game, film and TV releases.
