THQ Nordic is giving away two classic PC games for free
Titan Quest Anniversary Edition and Jagged Alliance are free until September 23
THQ is celebrating its 10th anniversary by giving away two PC games on Steam for free.
Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, which is usually $19.99 / £17.99, and Jagged Alliance 1: Gold Edition, which is usually $9.99 / £6.99, are both free until September 23.
Players who claim their games before then will have them permanently added to their Steam library and will be able to play and re-install them after the deal has ended.
Titan Quest Anniversary Edition combines the main game and its Immortal Throne expansion pack in one bundle. The game is an action RPG which was originally released in 2006.
The Anniversary Edition upgrades the original game with support for more resolutions, modding support and restored and improved multiplayer functionality.
Jagged Alliance 1: Gold Edition contains both Jagged Alliance and its spin-off Deadly Games. Both titles are tactical RPGs, and while they were originally released in 1995 and 1996 respectively the Gold Edition on Steam makes them compatible with modern PCs.
THQ Nordic‘s 10th anniversary celebrations continue on Friday with the publisher’s first ever digital showcase.
The show will be hosted by The Game Awards executive producer Geoff Keighley, and will include six new game announcements.
According to a press release by THQ Nordic, these six announcements “will take you on a journey through time and space”.
They will also include the “return of legendary franchises, including some for which fans have been waiting decades to get their hands on a new instalment”, as well as sequels to “beloved games”.
