This week’s Epic Games Store giveaway has been changed.

Epic announced last week that Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel would be free to claim on its PC marketplace from February 22-29.

However, that’s no longer the case, with Epic now planning to give away Super Meat Boy Forever instead.

It’s unclear why Epic has changed this week’s giveaway. The classic Fallout games were previously given away on the Epic Games Store for one day in December 2022.

Auto-runner Super Meat Boy Forever will replace Dakar Desert Rally, which is currently free to claim until February 22.

“Dakar Desert Rally is the biggest off-road rally racing adventure ever developed,” according to developer and publisher Saber Interactive.

“Experience the speed and excitement of the largest rally race on the planet, featuring a wide variety of licensed vehicles from motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads and SSVs.”

The Epic Games Store had over 270 million customers in 2023, and 75 million monthly active users in December, according to Epic.

Players spent $950 million on the Epic Games Store last year, including $310 million on third-party PC games.

The Epic Games Store gave away 86 free titles in 2023 (down from 99 in 2022). These games had a combined worth of $2,055, and users claimed nearly 586 million free titles (down from 700 million in 2022).
