Sony and Target among those releasing peripherals earlier than expected
The US release date for PlayStation 5 accessories has been brought forward to October 30, almost two weeks before the console launches.
Multiple Twitter users report receiving an email from Sony informing them that accessories like the DualSense controller will now launch at the end of this month.
Target is also listing October 30 as the release date for PS5 accessories including the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset, Media Remote, DualSense Charging Station, and HD Camera.
UK retailer Simply Games recently claimed that Sony had brought forward the PS5 accessories release date to November 12, one week ahead of the console’s European launch.
It’s worth noting that major retailers including Amazon are still listing November 12 (US) and November 19 (UK) as the release dates for PS5 accessories.
The PlayStation 5 release date is November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The rest of the world will get the console a week later on November 19.
PS5 is priced at $500/€500/£450 for the standard edition and $400/€400/£360 for the Digital Edition, with the only difference between them being the former’s inclusion of a disc drive.
Earlier today Sony revealed the PS5 system menu in an 11-minute video.
