The Starfield Xbox controller and headset ‘will release’ during the Xbox Games Showcase
Some players are reporting that they’ve already seen it in stores
Microsoft will announce its Starfield Xbox Wireless Controller and Headset during its upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, and will then immediately make it available for purchase.
That’s according to dataminer billbil-kun, who has a near-flawless track record of product leaks.
The Xbox Games Showcase takes place on Sunday, June 11, and will begin at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CET. It will immediately be followed by a Starfield Direct presentation focusing solely on Bethesda‘s game.
It’s not clear whether the controller and headset will be revealed during the main Showcase or the Starfield Direct, though logic would suggest the latter.
The controller will reportedly cost $79.99 / £69.99 / €74.99 and the headset will cost $124.99 / £114.99 / €124.99.
Reports and images of a Starfield Xbox controller have been doing the rounds online for a number of weeks now, with purported leaked photos showing a white controller with a rainbow effect around the Xbox button and clear triggers.
Some users in the US have also started sharing photos and images that appear to show the controller already in stores, ready for release on June 11.

Starfield was originally scheduled to be released last November, but in May of 2022 the game was delayed to the first half of 2023.
In March, Bethesda announced a further delay, with Starfield now targeting a September 6 release date.
“We have poured ourselves into this game and even I’m surprised how much we can pour, it is large,” Starfield director Todd Howard said at the time.
“But also this June we’re going to bring you into the studio, and give you a deep dive into the game at our Starfield Direct. There’s so much that we still have to show you.”
