The reboot of Saints Row is now available on Steam, and has been heavily discounted until the end of August.
The reboot of the Volition action series arrived on console and Epic Games Store last year, but the exclusivity period for the latter has now ended.
To celebrate its arrival on Steam, the game has been heavily discounted until August 31.
The Standard Edition of the game, which will usually cost $59.99 / £49.99, currently costs $19.79 / £16.49.
The Gold Edition, which includes the Expansion Pass and the Los Panteros American Muscle Bundle, usually costs $89.99 / £74.99 but is currently $29.69 / £24.74.
And the Platinum Edition, which includes everything in the Gold Edition plus a copy of Saints Row: The Third Remastered, usually costs $99.99 / £84.99 but is currently $32.99 / £28.04.
Saints Row received mixed reviews at launch, with VGC’s Saints Row review labelling the game a “buggy, dull mess”. It currently has scores of 61-65 on the review aggregation site Metacritic.
Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors previously said he was personally disappointed by the reception to Saints Row, when he spoke during Embracer’s AGM last September.
“Personally, I had hoped for a greater reception to the game,” he said at the time. “It’s been very polarising. There are a lot of things that could be said in detail around it, but I’m with one hand happy to see lots of gamers and fans happy, and at the same time I’m a bit sad to also see fans not happy, so it’s difficult.
