The PlayStation Productions website may be hinting at a MediEvil movie or show
A brief glimpse of its protagonist can be seen in a new trailer
A new trailer on a PlayStation Productions website appears to suggest that a MediEvil movie or show may be coming in the future.
The trailer can be seen on the official PlayStation website, in a section dedicated to its PlayStation Productions arm.
PlayStation Productions is a studio formed in 2019 by Sony Interactive Entertainment to adapt its original game properties for film and television in partnership with Sony Pictures.
The trailer shows a blue light scanning over statues of a number of familiar characters, most of whom feature in PlayStation Productions projects that have either already been released or have been confirmed as upcoming.
This includes Kratos from God of War, Aloy from Horizon, Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us, and Nathan Drake from Uncharted.
However, at one point the trailer briefly shows a pair of legs, and begins to pan up before cutting away.
As spotted by Twitter user Radec, the legs appear to belong to Sir Daniel Fortesque, the hero of the MediEvil games, suggesting there may be an animated MediEvil production in the works.
A total of four PlayStation Productions projects have been released to date, including movie adaptations of Uncharted and Gran Turismo, and TV adaptations of The Last of Us and Twisted Metal.
There are also five confirmed to be in production, including movie versions of Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima and Gravity Rush, and TV series based on Horizon and God of War.
