The Nintendo Museum has seemingly been delayed, is now planned to open in the autumn

Previous job postings suggested a summer opening was planned

News In Brief

The opening of the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto has seemingly been delayed.

Although no official opening date for the building had been confirmed, construction was set to end in March and job postings in April said workers would be expected to start in June.

However, in information posted alongside its latest financial results, Nintendo has now stated that the “Nintendo Museum in Uji City, Kyoto is scheduled to open this fall”.

Nintendo first announced in 2021 that it would be transforming its former manufacturing plant into a museum, known then as the Nintendo Gallery.
