The next Nintendo Direct will take place on Wednesday
Most of Nintendo’s release plans beyond July are currently unknown
The next Nintendo Direct live stream will take place on Wednesday, June 21, Nintendo has confirmed.
The event will take place at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST and feature “roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on Nintendo Switch titles launching this year, including new details on Pikmin 4“, according to Nintendo.
The Direct will be considered well-timed by some, as most of Nintendo’s upcoming release schedule is currently unknown.
The company is due to publish Everybody 1-2-Switch and Master Detective Archives: Rain Code on on June 30, Pikmin 4 on July 21 and Disney Illusion Island on July 28.
Beyond that not much is known, other than Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming two-part expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, wich has yet to receive official release dates.

The last major Nintendo Direct took place in February and included around 40 minutes of news.
The main announcement during that Direct was the reveal of Metroid Prime Remastered, along with the surprise that it was available to buy and play that day.
Other highlights included a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the addition of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to Switch Online and release dates for Pikmin 4 and Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp.
It was also revealed that a new Professor Layton game is in development, though nothing was shown beyond a brief teaser trailer.
