The next free Epic Games Store title has been announced
Golden Light will replace Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, which is now free to claim
The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been revealed.
Golden Light, “a procedural dark comedy horror game with roguelike elements and an eerie atmosphere”, will be free to claim on Epic’s PC marketplace from November 9-16.
It will replace Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, which is now free to claim until November 9.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said in March that players should expect to see further high-profile Epic Games Store exclusives in the future.
And in August the Fortnite maker announced a new Epic Games Store exclusivity scheme.
The Epic First Run programme allows developers of any size to claim 100% of revenue if they agree to make their game exclusive on the Epic Games Store for six months.
Another Epic Games Store scheme which will see developers getting a 100% revenue share for the first six months by bringing their older titles to the marketplace was revealed last month.
In September, Epic announced plans to lay off around 830 employees, or 16% of its total workforce.
It increased the price of Fortnite V-Bucks and some real money content packs last week, and will start charging for the use of Unreal Engine outside of video game development next year.
