The latest Steam Next Fest has launched with 100s of game demos
The week-long digital event is running until October 16
The latest edition of Steam Next Fest is now live.
The week-long digital event, which includes access to hundreds of PC game demos, is running until October 16 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
In addition to game demos, Valve says Steam Next Fest will include dozens of livestreams and give players the chance to chat with developers about their upcoming games.
Valve recently announced the dates for several future Steam sales.
Having previously confirmed Steam’s sales calendar for the remainder of this year, last month it published details of promotions planned for early 2024.
They include its first major seasonal sale of next year as well as sale events (Fests) that focus on particular game categories. After this week’s Next Fest, the next edition of the event will be held in February 2024.
Valve released Counter-Strike 2 in late September. The game arrived as a successor to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, allowing players to bring across their inventory from the older game.
The free-to-play title, which Valve bills as “the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history”, had been available to some Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players since March as part of a limited technical test.
